I attended the last Local U event in Edmonton, where I attained many important takeaways and Local Search strategies, and I am looking forward to this year’s sessions, so I can learn even more. All-day sessions, face to face, with some of the top Local Search experts in North America, is an opportunity not to be missed!
The sessions are fantastic, but once again the real value is outside the conference rooms. Talking to LocalU faculty afterwards about my frustrations and roadblocks… and people like Joy (et. al.) tell me step by step… “do this, do that, this right here works…”
For me Local U brings clarity on topics that I don’t have the resources to research deeply and daily (or even weekly sometimes). Attending these once a year will be a goal moving forward so that I know that my clients are getting the most cutting-edge information.
I’m big on notes, and I always know I’m at a great event when I have one tab for notes and another tab for action items. At the end of the day, not only did I have a healthy amount of both, I got a workbook and scoresheet to take home. That is of tremendous value to me.
